When kayaking a long distance are there places to stay overnight along the way?

Again, that depends on where you are going. Many kayaking trips do not extend past a day. The others will usually bring along adequate camping gear. Some State Parks have cabins along the river that you may be able to reserve if you have planned the trip well.
